Blue Sage Capital formed Blue Castle Waste Solutions, a regional solid waste and recycling platform serving communities across Minnesota and Iowa, through concurrent partnerships with founder-owned waste-collection businesses in the Midwest and the Plains. The investment came from Blue Sage Capital IV, in partnership with Castle Capital, whose operators have a track record of building environmental services platforms.

Blue Sage and Castle plan to grow Blue Castle by investing in people, equipment and operations while partnering with additional locally rooted waste businesses across the region, aiming to consolidate a fragmented market into a premier regional collection and recycling company.

As private equity increasingly targets essential local services with resilient demand, the platform is designed to bring reliable, high-quality local waste services to communities that rely on consistent collection infrastructure.
