Apax Partners agreed to sell Tosca, a reusable asset pooling provider for the food supply chain, to Infrastructure at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. Founded in 1959 and acquired by Apax in 2017, Tosca has expanded across North America and Europe while serving major food producers, distributors and retailers with reusable packaging and pooling services.

Goldman Sachs plans to support Tosca’s next phase of growth through investment in its asset base, operational platform and technology capabilities. The strategy includes further automation of wash centers and the deployment of new technology across Tosca’s operations, reflecting increasing automation across food supply chains and rising demand for circular economy solutions.

The acquisition highlights growing investor interest in infrastructure businesses that support reusable packaging and more efficient logistics. Tosca’s established pooling network and service-center footprint position it to benefit from continued adoption of circular supply chain models.
