Goldman Raised $3 Billion for Its West Street Infrastructure Partners V

Goldman Sachs Alternatives raised more than $3 billion at the first close of West Street Infrastructure Partners V, reaching 75% of its $4 billion target in less than six months. Commitments came from sovereign wealth funds, pension plans and insurance companies across North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The fund targets mid-market infrastructure opportunities across four sectors: energy transition, digital infrastructure, transportation and logistics, and the circular economy. Its first investment was QScale, a Quebec-based data center platform designed for AI workloads and powered by the province's low-carbon hydroelectric grid.

As private capital continues to flow into infrastructure markets, Goldman Sachs shows how energy transition, digital infrastructure and circular economy assets are attracting strong institutional interest as long-term investment opportunities.
