CIM Launched Its Permanent Power a US Solar and Storage Platform

CIM Group launched Permanent Power Company, a national power platform that consolidates solar generation, battery storage and transmission infrastructure under one entity, backed by a $400 million financing commitment from HPS Investment Partners. The utility-scale solar and battery storage platform currently operates 652MW of solar PV and 360MW of battery storage in California, with two projects under development that will bring the total portfolio to approximately 1,200MW of solar and 690MW of storage.
The company recently signed a long-term power purchase agreement with an investment-grade, regulated energy provider covering the full 246MW of solar and 150MW of battery capacity at the Grape project.
The launch shows how bringing clean energy assets under one scaled platform can create a more durable and financially viable business.
