S2G Investments Closed Its $1B Growth Stage Food and Energy Fund
Adam Harrie — May 15, 2026S2G Investments closed Solutions Fund I at $1 billion, targeting growth-stage companies in food and agriculture, energy and ocean systems across North America and Europe. The food, energy and ocean investment fund addresses what S2G calls the “Missing Middle,” the financing gap between early-stage venture capital and infrastructure-scale capital for businesses ready to expand.
Having already invested $300 million across 10 projects, the fund supports companies such as Echandia, a provider of maritime batteries establishing the U.S.’s first high-speed, zero-emission ferry network, and ANA, which reduces operational costs by 50% to 80% through its hybrid generator system.
S2G shows how investing at the intersection of food, energy and ocean systems can accelerate solutions that cut emissions while strengthening critical global supply chains.
