Corporate Net-Zero Pledges

The Climate Pledge Added Over 100 Signatories in 2025

The Climate Pledge, co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism, added 107 new signatories in 2025, a 19% increase over the prior year, bringing total membership to more than 700 companies across 49 countries with combined revenues of $3.8 trillion. Fashion and beauty brands drove particularly strong growth, with 51 new signatories, while Latin America and Asia Pacific saw signatory increases of 164% and 24%, respectively.

According to the coalition's 2026 report, signatories reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 11% on average, more than double the 7% reduction among non-signatory companies, largely driven by a 35% average decline in Scope 2 emissions from purchased electricity and cooling. The report also documented 33 joint decarbonization projects supported by 122 signatories, spanning transport electrification and low-carbon concrete.

Its growing signatory base and measurable emissions gap relative to non-members signal that structured corporate climate coalitions may be translating public commitments into faster, verifiable decarbonization than voluntary action alone.
