Compliant second-life batteries are supporting domestic energy storage as Moment Energy achieves third-party-verified non-PFE status and full FEOC compliance for its battery energy storage system. The company reengineers second-life EV batteries already in North America, reducing reliance on newly manufactured cells while extending the usefulness of existing battery resources. Its system also integrates FEOC-compliant power conversion equipment to support projects seeking federal Investment Tax Credits.

The verification could give developers greater certainty when selecting storage systems as U.S. sourcing requirements become more stringent.
