Con Dao and Can Gio, two of Ho Chi Minh City’s most pristine destinations, are implementing comprehensive green transport initiatives to advance environmental sustainability and reduce carbon emissions. Central to this effort is the introduction of low-emission zones (LEZs), electric bus systems, and eco-friendly public transport designed to decrease reliance on fossil fuels and protect local ecosystems.

In Con Dao, "the launch of electric bus route 173, spanning 17.1 kilometers between Con Dao Market and the airport, marks a key step toward cleaner mobility." Additional routes and charging stations at strategic sites such as Nguyen Duc Thuan Park will support broader adoption of electric transport.

These initiatives aim to preserve air quality, protect biodiversity, and minimize the environmental footprint of tourism. By prioritizing renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, Con Dao and Can Gio are setting new benchmarks for eco-conscious destination development in Vietnam.
