Moovit and the ATP have launched a pilot collaboration aimed at improving sustainable mobility for spectators attending professional tennis events. The initiative began at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome in May 2025, where Moovit integrated tailored journey‑planning tools into its app and web platform. These tools provide fans with multimodal travel information that includes public transport schedules, service alerts, and last‑mile options such as bike and taxi services. The partnership is designed to encourage a shift toward high‑capacity and low‑emission transport modes, addressing the significant share of event‑related emissions linked to spectator travel.

The collaboration also introduces a dedicated ATP experience within Moovit’s platform, available in 45 languages, to guide users from their point of origin to specific gates at the Foro Italico. ATP representatives highlight that travel constitutes the largest component of the sport’s carbon footprint, and the pilot is part of broader sustainability efforts under the ATP Serves program. Moovit’s technology, which serves nearly one billion users globally, is positioned as a scalable solution for improving mobility planning across future tournaments. The pilot will inform potential expansion to additional ATP events as part of ongoing efforts to reduce environmental impact associated with fan transportation.
