Re Sustainability has partnered with Indian Oil Corporation Limited to advance a circular economy approach for used lubricating oil in India, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability. The initiative promotes the systematic collection, recovery, and recycling of used oil, helping to reduce waste and prevent improper disposal that can harm soil and water systems.

By re-refining used lubricants into high-quality base oils, the collaboration reduces reliance on virgin crude oil extraction, lowering associated carbon emissions and conserving natural resources. This process supports more efficient material use while minimizing the environmental footprint of industrial and automotive sectors.

The partnership also includes the development of a nationwide collection and reverse logistics network to ensure responsible handling of used oil. Through dedicated infrastructure and advanced re-refining technologies, the initiative aims to scale sustainable oil management practices, contributing to reduced pollution, improved resource efficiency, and long-term environmental protection.
