The sustainable winery developed by Skipstone in Alexander Valley represents a significant advancement in environmentally responsible viticulture and estate design. The project reflects more than 25 years of commitment to sustainable land stewardship, integrating organic farming, regenerative agriculture, and low-impact infrastructure. Designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification, the facility emphasizes energy efficiency, resource conservation, and minimal environmental impact.

Additionally, "Skipstone’s vineyards have been certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) since 2008, demonstrating a long-standing dedication to chemical-free cultivation. Regenerative practices, including biodynamic methods, native cover crops, low-till soil management, and on-site biochar production, are employed to enhance soil health and carbon sequestration." Across the 200-acre estate, biodiversity is supported through sheep grazing, wildlife habitats, and ecological corridors.
