Yield Energy has announced the launch of Yield Edge DERMS, an energy management system designed specifically for farms, with a strong focus on sustainability and grid efficiency. The platform helps agricultural operations use their existing equipment to support a cleaner, more flexible energy system—without changing how food is grown.

Yield Edge DERMS allows farms to adjust when and how they use electricity, helping balance the grid during peak demand and reducing strain on energy infrastructure. By coordinating assets such as irrigation pumps, solar panels, batteries, and on-site generation, the system turns everyday farm operations into reliable sources of clean energy flexibility. This approach supports greater use of renewable energy while lowering overall emissions.

Backed by funding from the California Energy Commission, the platform has been tested and validated to show that farms can reliably support grid needs at scale. In addition to environmental benefits, participating growers can earn recurring revenue, creating a financial incentive for sustainable energy participation.
