Consolidated Water Recycling Platforms

WET Tech Combines HydroEdge and RES Water Operations

HydroEdge Solutions and RES Water are combining their operations under WET Tech to create a consolidated water recycling platform serving natural gas producers across Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. The network includes five Pennsylvania treatment, recycling and storage facilities, approximately 700,000 barrels of storage and processing capacity of up to 116,000 barrels per day.

The platform brings water hauling, treatment, recycling, storage and technology-enabled logistics into a single operation. HydroEdge's automation, SCADA and data integration capabilities complement RES Water's established treatment infrastructure, helping optimize routing and reduce trucking requirements. Increased reuse of produced water can also decrease freshwater withdrawals and associated transportation emissions.

For energy producers, integrated water management can lower costs per barrel while improving service reliability. The combination also demonstrates how consolidation can help environmental service providers achieve greater operational scale while creating opportunities for infrastructure expansion and resource recovery from produced water.
