ES Foundry expands U.S Solar Cell Production to 3 GW Annually

Domestic solar manufacturing is expanding as ES Foundry completes a 2 GW production expansion at its South Carolina facility, increasing its total annual solar cell manufacturing capacity to 3 GW. The company is producing crystalline bifacial PERC solar cells designed for utility-scale and distributed solar projects while supporting domestic content requirements, supply chain transparency, and compliance with evolving U.S. procurement standards. The expansion also strengthens the availability of American-made solar cells for module manufacturers, developers, and engineering firms.
As demand for domestic clean energy infrastructure continues to grow, expanding local manufacturing reduces dependence on overseas suppliers and helps stabilize solar supply chains.
