The FII Institute and the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announced a strategic partnership to advance sustainable energy, innovation, and capacity building within Saudi Arabia’s power sector. The collaboration is structured to support joint research, pilot projects, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives that explore decarbonisation pathways, grid modernization, and deployment of clean technologies, with an emphasis on scaling solutions that align with national energy transition objectives.

Planned activities under the partnership include convening workshops and expert exchanges, funding targeted research and demonstration projects, and developing training and talent programs to strengthen local technical capacity in areas such as renewable integration, digitalisation of grid operations, and energy system resilience. The initiative positions both organisations to leverage institutional resources and networks to accelerate innovation adoption and inform policy and investment decisions related to a more sustainable and resilient electricity system.
