Forest Partnered with Octopus Energy to Solve Power Problems with Fleet
Colin Smith — March 3, 2026Forest and Octopus Energy have formed a partnership under which Octopus Energy will supply zero carbon electricity to Forest’s London e‑bike fleet, covering the charging needs of approximately 20,000 bikes and associated operational vehicles. The agreement is presented as a measure to accelerate the shift to low carbon urban mobility by ensuring that micromobility services operate on renewable power, and by reducing the indirect emissions associated with fleet charging and maintenance.
The collaboration includes employee and customer engagement elements, with Octopus staff offered access to Forest’s Cycle to Work scheme and related ride benefits. Forest positions the partnership as reinforcing its status as a sustainable e‑bike operator in London by powering both bikes and service vehicles entirely with green energy, while Octopus frames the arrangement as supporting cleaner, cheaper travel options across the capital.
