The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and An Giang province have established a collaborative partnership to develop sustainable transportation and infrastructure solutions that address climate change impacts. The agreement frames joint activities around applied research, technical assessments, and policy support aimed at enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the province’s transport network. UEH is positioned to contribute analytical capacity—such as modelling, cost‑benefit appraisal, and scenario analysis—while provincial authorities provide local data, operational context, and access to pilot sites for testing adaptive measures.

Planned workstreams emphasize practical outcomes including climate‑resilient road and bridge design, low‑emission mobility options, and integrated planning to reduce vulnerability to flooding and extreme weather. The partnership also includes capacity building for local officials and stakeholders, development of policy recommendations to guide investment and regulatory change, and exploration of financing and implementation pathways for pilot projects. The collaboration is intended to produce evidence‑based interventions that can be scaled across the Mekong Delta region, subject to further technical validation, stakeholder consultation, and resource mobilization.
