Xcel Energy Foundation Has Marked 25 Years of Community Giving

The Xcel Energy Foundation released its 25th Anniversary Impact Report, revealing nearly $160 million invested in communities across eight states since 2001, including more than $82.8 million in nonprofit grants and $73.6 million in employee gift matching and volunteer-driven giving. The Foundation's work spans three focus areas: community vitality, environmental sustainability and STEM career pathways.
In 2025 alone, the Foundation awarded nearly $5 million to 384 nonprofit organizations, while employees contributed more than 96,000 volunteer hours to nearly 1,000 nonprofits. Environmental sustainability initiatives planted more than 26,000 trees and offset over 18,000 tons of carbon emissions, while the Foundation's programming achieved 2,389 STEM career placements.
