The London-based company Mission Zero Technologies developed and internationally deployed an electrified direct-air carbon capture solution that combines liquid adsorption with electrochemical processes. The innovation can efficiently recover carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at any location with access to electricity.
Mission Zero Technologies' plug-and-play system enables the recovery of historic emissions, which can then be permanently sequestered or utilized as a fossil-free carbon source in products and processes such as sustainable building materials, e-fuels, and other industrial applications. The company collaborates with partners globally, including projects in Canada for carbon removal integrated with rock mineralization, in the United Kingdom for sustainable aviation fuel development, and in other initiatives aimed at locking atmospheric carbon into building materials.
The electrified direct-air carbon capture solution addresses the need for scalable, accessible carbon removal technologies that can help reverse accumulated atmospheric CO₂ while also providing sustainable inputs for everyday products.
