African Clean Energy Alliances

ACE Alliance is an initiative of ACE‑SPED oriented toward advancing sustainable innovation and energy solutions through coordinated research, development, and deployment activities. The alliance aims to bring together academic institutions, industry partners, government agencies, and civil society to accelerate adoption of clean energy technologies, strengthen local manufacturing and supply chains, and promote applied research that addresses national energy security and decarbonisation objectives. The initiative frames its mission around translating technical innovations into scalable projects and demonstration pilots that can be adapted to regional infrastructure and market conditions.

Stakeholder engagement and capacity building are central to the alliance’s operating model, with planned activities that include joint research programmes, technical training, policy dialogue, and incubation support for clean‑tech startups. Leadership and advocacy from figures such as Prof. Emenike emphasize collaboration across public and private sectors to mobilize investment, standardize best practices, and build the technical workforce needed for long‑term energy transition efforts. The ACE Alliance positions itself as a platform for coordinating multidisciplinary efforts that align innovation, policy, and industry to produce measurable outcomes in sustainable energy deployment.
