Britol Partners with GP Certified to Integrate Recycled Plastics

Britol and the Antler Group of Companies have partnered with GP Certified to incorporate certified recycled plastics into large-scale production, advancing sustainable manufacturing, reducing plastic waste, and supporting local employment.
In a market where most Sri Lankan brands rely on single-use, imported virgin plastics for packaging, this project demonstrates a major shift in the industry. As of recently, the Antler Group now uses ethically produced, cost-effective GP Certified recycled plastics to replace up to 40% of imported virgin material in select Britol products.
The project received support from the PLEASE initiative, funded by the World Bank and implemented by the South Asia Co-operative Environment Program (SACEP), underscoring a collaborative effort to make the plastics and recycling sector more sustainable.
