Three-Year Nature Recovery Partnerships

The Eden Project and BAM UK & Ireland have launched a three year collaboration to prioritise nature recovery within the built environment, aiming to embed nature by design across BAM projects and to catalyse sector wide change. The partnership sets out three core pillars: educate, demonstrate, and share, with activities intended to build internal capacity, test nature inclusive approaches on live projects, and disseminate practical guidance to clients and partners.

Planned workstreams include developing training and engagement programmes, piloting nature inclusive design interventions such as healing gardens and biodiversity net gain measures, and documenting lessons to lower barriers to implementation across the construction lifecycle. The organisations describe the collaboration as a means to reframe construction projects as opportunities for ecological regeneration, with an emphasis on measurable outcomes, knowledge exchange, and scaling successful approaches across the industry.
