Jacobs was selected by LA Metro and Clark Construction Group to design and build LA Metro's zero-emission bus charging infrastructure at two of the agency's busiest operating divisions in Carson and West Hollywood, supporting the transit authority's full fleet transition ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The progressive design-build contract includes overhead charging systems, upgraded electrical distribution, and smart energy management tools to optimize charging schedules and reduce utility costs.

The project will be built while maintaining 24/7 bus operations throughout construction, ensuring uninterrupted service for riders during one of LA Metro's most complex infrastructure buildouts.

Jacobs is also delivering LA Metro's 2028 Games Mobility Concept Plan, coordinating with Caltrans, Metrolink, and the City of Los Angeles to support accessible, efficient travel during the global event.
