Zenobē and EBT have partnered to introduce electric school buses to Long Island school districts, supporting cleaner and more sustainable student transportation. The initial phase of the project includes 10 electric school buses that will provide zero-emission transportation for approximately 4,500 kindergarten through 12th grade students, helping reduce local air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions associated with traditional diesel buses.

The initiative is supported by the New York School Bus Incentive Program, administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, with additional funding provided by Zenobē. By replacing diesel vehicles with electric alternatives, the project aims to improve air quality around schools and along bus routes, contributing to healthier environments for students and communities.

Zenobē will also develop and manage the charging infrastructure, designed to support future fleet expansion. The scalable approach enables long-term adoption of electric buses, supporting broader efforts to decarbonize school transportation systems.
