Heavy-Duty Truck Fleets
Mercedes-Benz Trucks delivered the first 27 battery-electric eActros 600 trucks to Amazon under a broader order for more than 200 vehicles, signed in early 2025, marking Amazon's largest-ever electric truck order. By the end of 2026, more than 50 of the trucks will operate on German roads, deployed on middle-mile routes between fulfillment centers and urban areas.
Amazon is investing more than €1 billion to electrify and decarbonize its European transportation network, including installing hundreds of heavy-goods-vehicle chargers that can charge trucks from 20% to 80% in just over an hour. The eActros 600 features a 621 kWh battery and a 500-kilometer range, making it suited for long-haul transport.
The trucks are expected to help move more than 350 million packages annually with zero exhaust emissions.
