Nature-Based Investment Platforms

J.P. Morgan Has Rebranded Campbell Global as Natural Capital

J.P. Morgan Asset Management rebranded Campbell Global, its forestland-focused investment manager, as J.P. Morgan Natural Capital, reflecting an expanded mandate spanning land, carbon and biodiversity assets. The platform manages more than 1.5 million acres globally and oversees approximately $11 billion in assets as of December 2025, supported by roughly 150 employees across five countries.

The rebrand builds on Campbell Global's four-decade history in sustainable timberland investing, which J.P. Morgan acquired five years ago as part of its alternatives platform. The team has since closed one of the largest funds raised to date in the natural capital asset class, serving institutional clients including pension funds and foundations.

As more institutional investors look to include land, carbon and biodiversity as separate asset classes, J.P. Morgan's rebranding indicates how natural capital is shifting from a niche forestry focus to a wider, more formal part of mainstream institutional portfolios.
