Nottingham Forest players visited Keyworth United Community Football Club to celebrate the club's progress in adopting renewable energy through a partnership with E.ON Next. The energy provider installed solar panels and battery storage at the club, reducing reliance on the grid and lowering energy costs, helping free up resources for player development and facilities.

The visit was part of England Football's Greener Game program, supported by E.ON Next, which offers free energy audits, expert advice and access to funding for solar and energy-efficiency upgrades at community clubs nationwide. Forest players Matz Sels, Taiwo Awoniyi and Luca Netz joined junior training sessions and met with volunteers, families and young players during the surprise visit.

The initiative shows how energy partnerships and community sports programs can work together to make sustainability more accessible at the local level.
