Home Energy Optimization Platforms
Belgian startup NOX Energy raised €3 million in a seed round co-led by Rise Proptech and Volve Capital, with participation from Seeder Fund, Uneti Ventures, Fair Capital Impact Fund, and 100in. The company connects home energy devices, including heat pumps, solar panels, home batteries, and electric cars, to the energy market, enabling automatic optimization via apps already used by energy suppliers or device manufacturers.
The funding will support expansion beyond Belgium and the Netherlands into additional European markets, alongside plans to integrate NOX Energy's technology directly into manufacturers' apps as demand for distributed energy management software grows.
As households adopt more connected energy devices, NOX Energy's approach signals that automated optimization could become a standard layer embedded directly in existing manufacturer apps rather than a separate tool households must manage on their own.
