Strategic Microreactor Fuel Partnerships

Centrus Will Supply HALEU for Radiant's Kaleidos Reactors

Strategic microreactor fuel partnerships are strengthening domestic nuclear supply chains as Centrus Energy signs a multi-year agreement to provide HALEU fuel for Radiant’s Kaleidos microreactors. Centrus will begin deliveries before the end of the decade, providing Radiant with another U.S. source of the specialized fuel required for advanced reactors. The agreement also includes prepayments from Radiant to support Centrus’ domestic commercial enrichment capacity.

Securing fuel alongside reactor development addresses a major challenge facing the commercialization of advanced nuclear systems. Radiant is developing transportable Kaleidos microreactors for remote locations, data centers, defense operations, and other industrial applications. For Centrus, the agreement expands its position in the emerging microreactor market while supporting greater domestic enrichment capacity. For Radiant, diversifying its HALEU supply could reduce deployment risks as it progresses from reactor testing toward commercial-scale production.
