Advanced Lithium Enrichment

Molten Salt Solutions is scaling advanced lithium enrichment to support the growing material requirements of fusion and next-generation nuclear energy systems. The New Mexico-based company has developed a proprietary production platform for high-purity lithium-6 and lithium-7, isotopes required for fusion systems and advanced fission molten salt reactors. MSS says its approach is 100X more efficient than legacy enrichment methods.

Following an oversubscribed $7 million seed round led by Dolby Family Ventures, MSS will move from laboratory-validated technology toward pilot-scale production while expanding its technical and operations teams. The funding will also support existing customer agreements and partnerships across the advanced nuclear supply chain. From a business perspective, domestic isotope production could reduce reliance on limited foreign supply while giving reactor developers more reliable access to critical materials. As advanced nuclear projects move toward commercialization, specialized suppliers like MSS could become increasingly important infrastructure partners.
