Expanded Freight Distribution Deals

Triton Group has entered into a sales and marketing agreement with Progress Rail, a business unit of Caterpillar Inc., to expand the reach of its composite railroad ties made from recycled materials.

As part of the deal, Progress Rail—one of the world’s largest suppliers of rail equipment and infrastructure solutions—will act as the exclusive distributor of Triton’s products. The composite ties are designed as a durable, high-performance alternative to traditional wooden ties and other existing materials.

Triton manufactures these ties using a range of hard-to-recycle plastics, including mixed rigid plastics, flexible packaging, and contaminated post-commercial waste. By converting these materials into long-lasting rail components, the company is positioning its solution as both a performance upgrade and a more sustainable option for the rail industry.
