Carbon capture power is demonstrating how natural gas facilities can lower emissions while continuing to provide dependable electricity for industrial operations. Entropy's Glacier Phase 2 project in Alberta integrates a 15 MW co-generation unit with carbon capture, transportation, and permanent geological storage, extending emissions capture across both power generation and gas compression systems. The facility targets carbon removal rates of more than 90% while supplying low-carbon electricity for on-site operations and exporting surplus power to Alberta's grid. Real-time carbon measurement and accounting also provide traceable verification of captured emissions, supporting greater transparency for customers and regulators.
