Argus launched new SAF emissions-reduction indexes, providing airlines, fuel suppliers and corporate buyers with an independent way to compare sustainable aviation fuel economics against compliance and voluntary carbon market costs. The daily assessments cover Europe, Asia and the U.S., normalizing fuel prices on an energy-equivalent basis to reveal the net cost of emissions reductions.

Alongside the indexes, Argus introduced an Excel-based calculator that lets subscribers model company-specific procurement and decarbonization scenarios, including regional incentives, compliance mechanisms and Scope 3 emissions negotiations. All calculations are derived from market-based assessments, providing transparency into how SAF costs and environmental attributes are allocated between buyers and sellers.

These tools signal that standardized, independent pricing data is becoming essential infrastructure for helping the industry make informed, cost-effective sustainability decisions at scale.
