Towable hydrogen power systems are expanding access to cleaner temporary electricity with Ballard Power Systems and GeoPura's new HPU Agile-H. Unlike larger stationary generators, this compact unit delivers 80kW of continuous power through a hydrogen fuel cell paired with battery storage. The battery responds immediately to changing electricity demands, supporting consistent performance across different applications.

Manufactured by Siemens Energy, the generator can be transported using a suitable SUV or large van and deployed by one technician in under 20 minutes. Multiple units can operate together when additional capacity is required. Remote monitoring and integrated safety features support operation in demanding environments.

For businesses, the smaller format creates opportunities to replace diesel generators at construction sites, remote facilities, and emergency operations. Available for pre-order across the UK, Europe, and North America, the system expands Ballard's commercial offerings, with deliveries expected in early 2027.
