Advanced Nuclear Financing Partnerships

Elementl Power Seeks $750 Million for Nuclear Projects

Elementl Power is pursuing advanced nuclear financing partnerships through a proposed $750 million agreement with a South Korean investment group led by DS Investment Partners. The arrangement introduces a funding approach designed to support several nuclear facilities simultaneously, helping developers secure capital before construction commitments are finalized.

The partnership could finance early development work for up to three projects, including a 1.5 GW facility in Ohio that would incorporate GE Vernova Hitachi's BWRX-300 small modular reactors. Funding would support regulatory approvals, grid connections, and equipment purchases. Samsung C&T may also participate, contributing experience in nuclear engineering and construction.

For the nuclear energy sector, this financing structure could create opportunities for international investors to participate in American power infrastructure. Combining private capital with specialized engineering expertise may help Elementl advance multiple projects while strengthening its position in the expanding nuclear development market.
