AI Infrastructure Energy Portfolios
AI infrastructure energy portfolios are connecting large-scale renewable generation with the growing electricity requirements of data centers and AI computing. NOVVA Group has signed a binding framework agreement to acquire a 3.17-GW renewable energy portfolio in Argentina from German developer ABO Energy. The wind and solar assets expand Novva's Latin American pipeline following its acquisition of three solar projects in Colombia earlier in 2026.
Novva combines energy development, financing and infrastructure delivery to aggregate renewable electricity for data centers, Powered Land and Powered Shell projects. This model connects energy investment more directly with the development of computing infrastructure, helping operators secure power as AI workloads increase electricity demand. For Novva, acquiring renewable projects at scale strengthens its ability to offer energy-backed infrastructure while expanding its presence in emerging markets. The strategy also demonstrates how renewable portfolios can become increasingly valuable assets as data center developers prioritize access to large, reliable power supplies.
