Aligned Climate Capital Has Acquired a 7.3 MW Illinois Solar Project

Aligned Climate Capital acquired Armoracia, a 7.3 MW DC community solar project in Collinsville Township, Illinois, deploying Planted Solar's terrain-following array platform across a 16-acre site. The project will serve subscribers through the Illinois Adjustable Block Program on the Ameren Illinois grid, with commercial operation expected later this year.
Planted Solar's high-density arrays require no grading and preserve land for agricultural activity and pollinator habitat alongside solar generation, addressing a key constraint for community solar development on irregular parcels and limited acreage.
The acquisition establishes a financing precedent that developers can cite when bringing similar land-efficient projects to institutional buyers.
