Community Environmental Restoration Grants
Community environmental restoration grants are supporting local conservation efforts through the PG&E Corporation Foundation's final round of funding. The organization is distributing $500,000 among five California nonprofits working to restore ecosystems, expand environmental education, and promote sustainable agriculture. Each recipient will receive $100,000 to develop projects addressing regional environmental needs.
The initiatives include kelp forest restoration along the Mendocino Coast, watershed improvements in Oakland, and native habitat recovery in San Benito County. Sacramento Splash will also provide agricultural and environmental education to approximately 7,000 students during the 2026–27 school year. The latest awards complete a five-year, $2.5 million program supporting 25 organizations.
For participating nonprofits, the funding creates opportunities to expand conservation activities, educational programs, and workforce training. PG&E's shareholder-funded initiative also strengthens community partnerships while supporting environmental stewardship across Northern and Central California.
