Watershed Investment Programs

Google Committed $60M to Five Water Replenishment Projects

Google committed $60 million to five new water replenishment projects across Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Virginia, each tailored to local watershed challenges. In Arizona, the company is partnering with Trout Unlimited to restore streamflow for Apache Trout habitat, while funding in Indiana will improve water reuse at a Fort Wayne treatment plant to reduce freshwater withdrawals from the St. Joseph River.

The investment builds on Google's broader water stewardship strategy, which replenished more than 7 billion gallons in 2025 across a portfolio of more than 165 projects spanning 97 watersheds. The portfolio is expected to reach over 19 billion gallons annually by 2030.

Google has committed more than $500 million in total to water, wastewater, and reuse infrastructure, with annual water investment rising from $17 million to $77 million this year alone.
