Zutari has become a member of the environmental organization named the International Hydropower Association, joining the association to support the advancement of sustainable hydropower across Africa. The firm brings extensive regional experience, including work on the Jiji and Mulembwe hydropower schemes in Burundi and feasibility and design work for Nigeria’s Kashimbila project, as well as refurbishment support for South Africa’s Steenbras pumped storage facility.

The membership is presented as a platform for Zutari to engage in knowledge exchange, align with international sustainability standards, and contribute technical expertise to policy and project development that aim to increase reliable renewable energy access in African markets. The collaboration is framed around capacity building, sharing best practice in project delivery and environmental management, and supporting the scaling of hydropower solutions that meet social and ecological safeguards.
