Fuel Cell Lifecycle Programs

Ballard Power Systems is introducing fuel cell lifecycle programs through Fleet360, a service designed to support North American transit operators using new FCmove-HD+ modules. The program combines fuel cell performance data, technical support, parts coverage, technician training and refurbishment services to simplify long-term fleet management.

At its center is FCpulse, a digital platform that monitors fuel cell health and helps maintenance teams identify modules requiring attention. The FCcare+ package also guarantees module power output for up to 250,000 miles of fuel cell operation, while Core+ connects condition assessments with refurbishment planning. Ballard supports these services through remote diagnostics, field teams and U.S. parts inventory.

For transit operators, this approach can make maintenance requirements and lifecycle costs more predictable. For Ballard, combining hardware with recurring support services strengthens customer relationships while creating additional revenue opportunities throughout a fuel cell module's operating life.
