Romanian Solar Park Projects

Grup Blauer București's Solar Park is Being Purchased by Huadian Corp

Grup Blauer București completed construction of a 134 MW photovoltaic solar park in the Studina commune, Olt county, and has commenced trial production ahead of a target to begin commercial operations by the end of 2025. The facility is described as one of the largest solar plants in Romania, and the project completion represents a significant addition to the country’s utility‑scale solar capacity and regional renewable energy infrastructure.

Ownership and transaction activity around the asset include a 49% stake held by China Huadian Hong Kong Co., with reports that China Huadian Corp. is acquiring the entire 134 MW facility as part of a broader set of project acquisitions; prior ownership changes involved a sale from a group of investors that included former national goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea and subsequent stakes acquired by CWP Europe and a Renalfa IPP subsidiary. The plant’s commissioning and reported investor interest reflect continuing consolidation and international participation in Romania’s expanding solar market.
