Syntetica raised a $30 million Series A round, backed by Lululemon and manufacturer MAS Holdings, to scale its nylon recycling technology targeting Nylon 6 and Nylon 6,6, two chemically similar materials that are notoriously difficult to sort and recycle separately from consumer textile waste.

The startup produces recycled pellets rather than finished textiles, enabling partners across the supply chain to use the material to manufacture new yarn.

Syntetica's approach comes amid recent oil market volatility that has driven sharp price swings in petroleum-based nylon, prompting brands to seek more stable, circular alternatives. The company previously partnered with Michelin's Center for Sustainable Materials to build a commercial demonstration facility in France.

Syntetica shows how solving nylon's recycling bottleneck could unlock meaningful circularity across one of the fashion industry's most persistent waste streams.
