Smart wind energy is strengthening renewable electricity generation by combining larger wind turbines with intelligent energy management technologies. Envision Energy will supply 23 EN182-7.8 MW smart wind turbines for Neoen's 179 MW Narrogin Wind Farm in Western Australia, marking the deployment of the largest wind turbines installed in the country. Designed with 155-metre hub heights and 182-metre rotor diameters, the turbines are expected to power nearly 100,000 homes annually while contributing to Western Australia's South West Interconnected System. The project also includes a 30-year operations and maintenance agreement to support long-term asset performance.

The project demonstrates how larger, digitally connected wind turbines can increase renewable electricity output while lowering the cost of clean power generation. Integrating advanced wind technology with battery storage and AI-enabled energy management can improve grid reliability and make renewable energy more responsive to changing electricity demand, supporting Australia's transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy system.
