AES announced a partnership with Google in Texas to develop co-located energy generation projects supporting a new Google data center in Wilbarger County. The collaboration is designed to align data center expansion with responsible energy development, emphasizing efficiency, grid stability, and lower-carbon power solutions.

AES will leverage its development expertise to secure land and interconnection agreements while constructing shared electrical infrastructure to integrate generation assets with the regional grid. The companies have executed 20-year Power Purchase Agreements to provide long-term energy supply certainty and support investment in sustainable generation resources. AES will own and operate the facilities and deliver retail electricity, cost optimization, and energy management services for the campus.

The structure aims to enhance renewable integration, reduce transmission losses through co-location, and support more sustainable digital infrastructure growth while advancing reliability, affordability, and environmental performance objectives.
