Lumora Energy, South Korea's first independent power producer dedicated to underutilized industrial space, closed a pre-seed round led by a fund anchored by Yuhan-Kimberly and managed by MYSC, positioning the company to scale its industrial rooftop solar pipeline. Unlike fee-based developers, Lumora directly owns and operates solar assets through a full-stack model, targeting an estimated $145 billion in untapped rooftop and parking space across Korea's industrial sector.

Since its founding, Lumora has assembled a nationwide 43.6 MW pipeline and earned recognition through the 2026 Eco-Startup Growth Program and the 19th Startup NEST cohort. The company's platform spans solar generation, energy management through proprietary FEMS integration and planned ESCO energy savings projects. Its leadership brings a combined 595 MW development track record across Korea, Germany, Vietnam and Ireland.

Lumora's model, mirroring companies such as Altus Power in the U.S., signals that patient asset accumulation could unlock significant untapped solar capacity across Asia's manufacturing sector.
