Vena Energy Has Secured $1.4B for Australian Solar Storage

Vena Energy secured approximately A$1.4 billion in green financing for solar and battery energy storage projects across South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales. The funding combines greenfield project financing with refinancing in two transactions, supporting 294MWp of operational solar capacity, 320MWp under construction and more than 1,300MWh of battery energy storage capacity.
The solar assets are expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power approximately 198,000 Australian households annually while avoiding more than one million tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to removing roughly 228,000 vehicles from the road.
Vena Energy shows how large-scale green financing is helping accelerate the deployment of integrated solar and battery storage projects that strengthen grid reliability while delivering measurable emissions reductions.
