Energy Infrastructure Funds
Sosteneo, part of Generali Investments, completed the first external close of its Sosteneo Clean Energy Infrastructure Fund II, securing over €150 million in new commitments and co-investment capital. Total commitments for the fund now exceed €450 million, and the platform's capital totals €1.1 billion.
Fund II will invest in construction-ready clean energy infrastructure across Europe, targeting enabling integration and flexibility, securing a clean energy supply, and decarbonizing industry. Its predecessor, Fund I, has about three-quarters of its 39 projects operational, began distributions in the second quarter, and signed its first partial sale in the third.
As investors back operating clean energy portfolios, this close signals that specialist infrastructure managers can attract repeat institutional capital for the next generation of European projects.
