Asia Climate Finance Funds

responsAbility Investments reached final close on its responsAbility Asia Climate Fund at $461 million, marking the Swiss impact investor's largest closed-end climate vehicle to date. The private credit fund targets South and Southeast Asia and has secured commitments from institutional investors, family offices, foundations and development finance institutions to support renewable energy, electric mobility, energy efficiency and circular-economy companies.

The fund has already committed approximately $204 million to 17 portfolio companies, using a blended-finance structure in which concessional public-sector capital mobilized more than five times its value in commercial commitments.

As emerging Asian markets seek capital for underfinanced climate sectors, the fund's rapid scale-up signals growing confidence that blended-finance structures can effectively de-risk private investment in renewable energy and climate infrastructure across historically harder-to-finance regions.
