Energy Capital Partners closed Energy Capital Partners Fund VI, raising $8.1 billion in total capital commitments and significantly exceeding its initial $5 billion target. The firm's total capital raised since 2005 now exceeds $41 billion. The fund will continue ECP's strategy of building businesses across power generation, renewables, storage and sustainable infrastructure amid accelerating electricity demand driven by data centers, AI and broader electrification.

Fund VI is already deploying capital, including through the acquisition of EnergySolutions, a provider of integrated solutions across the nuclear power lifecycle. The investment builds on ECP's track record of prior realizations, including the sale of Calpine to Constellation Energy.

ECP's record-setting fundraise signals sustained institutional confidence in energy infrastructure investment as demand for grid resilience and reliable power capacity accelerates worldwide.
